Our Books and Things
<H3>Cook Books</H3>
<P>We have approximately 12,000 cookbooks on hand. While some are new, most are what we like to call ?gently used<B>.? </B>Our inventory includes rare and unusual volumes, some signed by their authors, along with historic and vintage titles. One gem was published in the late 1920?s, just as electric refrigerators were introduced to families, and, believe it or not, it contains the original recipe for ice. </P>

<P>We also have a selection of new titles particularly those by the cooking personalities from the Food Network including Emeril, Jamie Oliver, the Barefoot Contessa, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali and Paula Dean. There is even have a <I>shrine</I> to Rachel Ray. We have many books by the classic chefs including Julia Child, James Beard, Paul Prudhomme, and Justin Wilson. There are collections of books from series including Time-Life, Sunset, and Food &Wine. </P>

<P>There are cookbooks from almost every type of regional, national and ethnic cuisines. This includes Italian and Chinese as you may expect but also Lebanese and Czech cookbooks. We have cookbooks from every region of the United States and many specialized styles including Cajun, Barbecue, Fire House cooking, crock pot, etc. We are particularly proud of having many of the cookbooks that have been published by many organizations like the Junior League, ORT, and countless churches and schools.</P>

<P>There are books that specialize on ingredients such as various meats, cheese, and specific vegetables. There are books on special diets such as Diabetic, Heart Healthy and Vegetarian. We even have a special section of cookbooks for children. </P>
<H3>Kitchen Items</H3>
<P>We have a collection of specially selected items for the kitchen. These include our complete line of Microplane Graters and Zesters, Silpat No-Stick Baking Sheets a Stove-top smoker, plus many gift and decorating items that would be hard to find elsewhere. We even have a set of tiny measuring spoons with sizes like a <I>Pinch</I>, a <I>Dash</I>, and a <I>Smidgeon</I>. </P>
<H3>On the Plus Side</H3>
<P>As our name says, we have more than just cookbooks. We have books on Gardening, Crafts and Home Improvement. The craft books include knitting, crocheting, and quilting and even woodworking. Our Home Improvement books include kitchen design, cabinetry and decorating.</P>
