What a crazy idea, a bookstore that sells almost nothing but cookbooks! How can a little guy compete with Barnes and Noble, Borders and even Amazon.com? The answer is that we can compete because our products are specialized. Cookbooks and other rare books do not become obsolete after a few months. Just witness the popularity of the Food Network on TV.

<P>Who do we think we are? We are Cookbooks Plus and we have just moved to our new location in the heart of the Downtown Newhall Revitalization zone. We bring with us more than 12,000 cookbooks and other items for customers to peruse.</P>

<P>Are you looking for the cookbook your mother used when you were growing up? or that special gift for someone you knows who love to cook? or that latest Emeril book? We have them. If we don?t have it can usually get it for you. Included are some rare and unusual ones, some signed by their authors, and historic and vintage titles. One in particular was published in the late 1920?s, just as electric refrigeration was introduced to families, and contains the original recipe for making ice.</P>
